- 55-year-old volunteer Stanislav Skrypin (call sign Thor) was killed in action on April 17, 2022 in a battle near the city of Izium, Kharkiv region. He tracked down an enemy tank and passed the coordinates to his comrades, who destroyed it. However, during the battle, Thor himself sustained fatal injuries. Stanislav was born in the city of Neyvansky (Russia). He was from a Ukrainian Cossack family that was deported to Siberia. Later, he decided to move to the capital of Ukraine - Kyiv. He graduated from Kyiv National Aviation University. He worked as an instrument and electrical equipment engineer. He was interested in Japanese culture. He stu and read a lot. When the full-scale war began, Thor, as a senior reserve lieutenant, joined the ranks of the volunteer battalion "Karpatska Sich". That day, April 17, after his shift, he continued observation for another 2 hours, spotted an enemy tank, and passed on the exact coordinates to his comrades. The tank was destroyed within 20 minutes. "Thor always said that young people should be taught. He gained high authority among the youth. For me as a commander, this is the greatest loss. A man of iron. Thinking about him, I remember the phrase 'Fire does not bake the hardened'," said the squad leader with the call sign Tur. "His strength and support are sorely missed," noted his wife, Irina. The defender was buried in Kyiv. Stanislav is survived by his mother, wife, son, 6-year-old granddaughter, and 2-year-old grandson, whom he loved very much.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
