- Senior Sailor Stanislav Marchenkov (call sign Banana) was killed on February 28, 2024 while performing a combat mission near the Tendrivska Kosa island in the Kherson region. The warrior remained forever 29 years old. Stanislav was born in the city of Krasnohrad, Kharkiv region. He studied at Krasnohrad Lyceum No. 3. Then he graduated from the Krasnohrad Technical School of Agricultural Mechanization named after F.Ya. Tymoshenko and the Kharkiv National Technical University of Agriculture named after Petro Vasylenko, majoring in "Agroengineering". He worked at the Technokom enterprise in Kharkiv, and later at the greenhouses of the Krasnohrad Vegetable Factory. Everywhere, the management and colleagues respected him. He loved football and supported FC Metalist (Kharkiv). He was interested in household, planned to grow grapes, planted trees, dreamed of building a gazebo and gathering there with friends, cooked shashlik, hot dogs, and pizza perfectly. He was interested in fishing and was well-versed in computer technology. He loved to listen to music, watch TV series and the program "Around the World". His favorite movie was "Constantine: The Lord of Darkness". He always tried new things and looked for his own path. During the full-scale invasion, the man defended his country as part of the 73rd Marine Special Operations Center named after Koshovy Otaman Antin Holovatyi of the Special Operations Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of senior operator of the assault group. When they were on training, after eating, the guys went to rest, and Stanislav went to the kitchen. Then he ran into the room shouting: "Guys, they brought bananas here." That's how he got the call sign Banana. In December 2023, the military was awarded the honorary badge of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "Golden Cross", and posthumously - the Order of Courage of the III degree. "Stas was the soul of the company. He was a wonderful man, a loving and caring father. He loved and cared for his daughter Ulyana very much: he could change her diaper when she was very small, buy, tie her hair, take her to kindergarten, feed her, and entertain her. A real dad. He conscientiously fulfilled his duties. He was always interested in new things, studied, tried, and thought (he developed in military affairs, watched videos and read, offered his own). When something was needed, he did not forget about his comrades-in-arms (he shared everything with them and trusted them, as they did him). He was wise. We discussed a lot with him, thought, he could advise and listen. He couldn't swim. He was left-handed. But he carried out the tasks properly, trusted his comrades-in-arms and was a wonderful person," his wife Natalia said. The hero was buried in the New Cemetery in the village of Nataline, Kharkiv region, where he lived with his family. Stanislav is survived by his wife, daughter, mother, grandmother and sister.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
