Stanislav S. Sukhonos

Junior Lieutenant Stanislav Sukhonos was killed on March 4, 2023, while performing a combat mission near the city of Mariinka in the Donetsk region. The officer was 24 years old. Stanislav was born in the city of Okhtyrka, Sumy region. He studied at school No. 2. Then he graduated from Sumy State University and obtained a law degree. He worked as the head of an institution. He was passionate about football. He dreamed of starting his own family, but did not have time to get married. During the full-scale war, in the fall of 2022, Stanislav decided to mobilize into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later, he joined the 79th Separate Airborne Assault Brigade. He took the position of platoon commander and went to the front line. He defended the Donetsk region. "He was a person who was always first everywhere. Whenever I told him to take care of himself, he replied: 'I'm a man, and moreover, I'm a paratrooper, and it doesn't hurt or scare me. He's always first," said the fiancée of the deceased, Kateryna. The young officer was buried in the Alley of Glory of the local cemetery in his hometown. At home, his parents, sister, godson, and fiancée were waiting for him.
