- Senior soldier Stanislav Valkovets was killed on November 1, 2022, while performing a combat mission in the area of Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region. On October 22, the defender turned 32 years old. Stanislav was born and lived in the village of Ryabokoneve in Kharkiv Oblast. He graduated from the 11th grade of Slobidska secondary school. He then studied at the Kharkiv National Academy of Municipal Economy, where he obtained a degree as a construction engineer. He worked in construction in Kyiv. He loved fishing and football and was interested in cars. During the full-scale invasion, in September 2022, he was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He became a fighter in the 79th Separate Air Assault Brigade, holding the position of senior gunner of the grenade launcher section in the fire support platoon. “Stas was sociable and had many friends. When he came home from work in Kyiv, he always hurried to the local café for coffee with friends... Now a cup of Americano always stands on his grave, brought by his relatives and friends with whom he went fishing, discussed cars he was passionate about, and cheered for his favorite football club, Liverpool. Honest, responsible, reliable... Now forever in our hearts, in our memories. We still cannot believe in your death, we cannot come to terms with it. How can we learn to live with this pain? Why? For what?! The memory of you and the pain for you will never leave our hearts. Our Stanislav is a Hero! Heroes do not die! They protect our peace from the heavens!” — said the relatives of the fallen. The paratrooper was buried in his native village. Stanislav is survived by his parents and sister.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
