- Soldier Stanislav Horbovtsov (call sign Stalker) was killed on December 23, 2022 while carrying out a combat mission near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 30 years old. Stanislav lived in the capital. In 2010, he graduated from the Kyiv Professional College of Transport Infrastructure with a degree in "Accounting". He then obtained a higher economic education at the Kyiv National University of Trade and Economics. He worked as an accounting consultant at the Debet-Credit magazine. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, the man joined the ranks of the Kyiv Territorial Defense Forces. He became a fighter of the 204th separate battalion of the Territorial Defense Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a machine gunner. "Stanislav loved life very much, traveled a lot. He was filmed in a movie as a child, was a model in his youth. He was also an activist in the Kyiv Speleological Association. He has been to Chernobyl many times. He had a personal photo exhibition. Everyone loved Stas. He was a beacon for his friends," said the mother of the deceased Lyudmyla. "Our colleague, friend, one of the best authors of the Debet-Credit magazine Stanislav Horbovtsov was killed. Quite young, sensitive, polite, a person of high culture, honor and conscience, he went to defend our country. Because he considered it right and could not remain on the sidelines. He will forever remain in our hearts. Stas is one of tens of thousands of heroes who was killed defending our lives and freedom, our Ukraine. We write this so that you know his name. Because he is worth it," his colleagues wrote. "Decent, sensitive, honest, persistent, courageous, brave - this is how his teachers and classmates remember him. He defended our life and freedom, remained faithful to the Motherland and defended it until his last breath. We deeply mourn and express our sincere condolences to the family and friends of Stanislav. Deepest bow to the parents. We will remember your bright smile. Eternal glory and bright memory to the Hero!" the Kyiv College noted. Stanislav's body was cremated. He asked that his ashes be scattered on the Faroe Islands in Denmark.
