Stanislav V. Metashok (Tsyhan)

Soldier Stanislav Metashok (call sign Tsygan) was killed on July 28, 2023 while carrying out a combat mission near the city of Avdiivka in the Donetsk region. On July 18, the defender turned 24 years old. Stanislav was born and lived in the village of Ustyvytsia, Poltava region. He studied there at school. He then successfully graduated from the National University "Poltava Polytechnic". He had many plans for life that he did not have time to realize. On February 25, 2022, Stanislav was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 116th separate brigade of territorial defense. He was a reconnaissance spotter of the reconnaissance platoon. "Stanislav was sociable, cheerful, hardworking, energetic, caring, respected his parents, and helped others. He had big plans for life, but the war ruthlessly destroyed them. Our hero gave his life so that we could live, work, fight, bring victory closer, raise children, and rebuild Ukraine. Stanislav's earthly path was very short but heroic. We will never forget him, we will not give his death to the enemy," said the Hoholivska village council. The warrior was buried in his native village. Stanislav is survived by his parents.
