Stanislav V. Sadovskyi (Horets)

29-year-old Senior Sergeant Stanislav Sadovsky (call sign Highlander) was killed on May 8, 2022 during the defense of Mariupol in the Donetsk region. As a result of the enemy air strike on the Azovstal plant, where Ukrainian soldiers were stationed in a bunker, many defenders were killed. Stanislav was a native of Kharkiv. He obtained a higher education at the Kharkiv Humanitarian and Pedagogical Academy. In civilian life, he worked with software management at Staleks LLC. He was passionate about cars. He loved to travel and relax in the mountains. He often went to Georgia. In May 2017, the man joined the ranks of the separate special purpose unit of the National Guard of Ukraine "Azov". He participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation / Joint Forces Operation. At the time of the full-scale Russian invasion, Stanislav held the position of senior rifleman - gunner of the fire support squad of the sniper group. From February 24, 2022, he participated in the battles for Mariupol. During his service, he was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree, and posthumously - the Order of Courage of the II degree. "I raised him from a very young age. I think I did it well. He grew up honest and hardworking, treated us, his family, very well. He was a good comrade. His friends loved him very much. Fair, loving and very dear to us," said the grandmother of the deceased, Maya Petrovna. At home, Stanislav was awaited by his grandmother, other relatives and many friends.
