- Soldier Stepan Stahl (call sign "Psykh) died on March 26, 2023, at the Kyiv Military Hospital from severe injuries. On March 1, during a battle near the city of Kreminna in the Luhansk region, the fighter received a mine-explosive injury while shielding his comrades. He was treated in Lyman, Dnipro, and Kyiv. He underwent 14 difficult operations, but the fighter's heart could not withstand it. The warrior was 24 years old. Stepan was born in the village of Stankivtsi, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He graduated from the Vytvytsia Lyceum. Then he studied at the Precarpathian Forestry College, majoring in "Landscape Gardening." He received a diploma of a junior specialist. During the full-scale war, the man without hesitation went to defend Ukraine from the enemy and became a military of the National Guard. He served in the 50th regiment named after Colonel Semen Vysochan. He was a rifleman. "Stepan was an incredible person, kind and sincere. He never offended the younger ones but always protected them. With all his heart, he loved Ukraine and gave his life for it. On his chest, he had a tattoo in the form of a trident with the inscription 'Soul - to God, Life - to Ukraine, Honor - to Himself.' Stepan lived honestly and with dignity. From childhood, he had a talent for military affairs, and he dreamed of becoming a soldier. And when the enemy came to our land, he went to defend Ukraine. He stubbornly wanted to be at the very zero, having a wife with whom he had recently married and big plans for the future. At the cost of his own life, he contributed to the victory of our country and now continues to defend his family and all of Ukraine from heaven," said the fighter's cousin Maria. The serviceman was buried in his native village. Stepan is survived by his parents, brother, sister, wife, relatives, and friends.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
