Stepan O. Voronovskyi (Voron)

Paratrooper Stepan Voronovsky (call sign Voron) was killed on January 23, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the settlement of Krasna Hora in the Donetsk region. The defender received fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. The warrior was forever 20 years old. Stepan was born in the village of Utishkiv, Lviv region. He had dreamed of being a soldier since childhood. In 2021, he graduated from the Kalush Polytechnic College. After graduation, he went on conscript service, and later signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was interested in history and loved fishing. From the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion, the guy fought against the invaders together with his comrades-in-arms, defending his native country. He was a sniper in the 77th separate airmobile brigade. "Stepan had dreamed of being a warrior-defender since childhood. Without hesitation, he signed a contract because he wanted to be a scout," said the father of the fallen Oleg Yaroslavovich. The young warrior was buried in his native village. Stepan is survived by his parents and sister. Posthumously, soldier Stepan Voronovsky was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
