Sviatoslav I. Tokarchuk (Kapelan)

Senior soldier Sviatoslav Tokarchuk (call sign Chaplain) was killed on February 11, 2023 in the area of Paraskoviyivka village in Donetsk region. The warrior received a fatal explosive injury during enemy mortar shelling. The defender was forever 28 years old. Sviatoslav was born in the village of Krymne, Volyn region. In 2012, he graduated from school. During his studies, he participated and repeatedly became the winner of regional sports competitions. In 2017, he obtained a higher education at the Lesya Ukrainka East European National University, where he studied at the Faculty of Geography. After graduation, he served in the ranks of the National Guard of Ukraine. He was married and lived with his family in the village of Nemovychi, Rivne region. He loved to play football. He adored walking in the forest and picking mushrooms. On the second day of the full-scale war, on February 25, 2022, the man was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. At first, he served in the security company of Sarny. In December 2022, he was transferred to the 15th separate mountain assault battalion of the 128th separate mountain assault brigade. From January 5, 2023, he defended Donetsk region with his comrades-in-arms. He was buried in the village of Nemovychi. Sviatoslav is survived by his wife, son, relatives, friends and comrades-in-arms. In honor of the defender, a street where he lived with his family was renamed in the village of Nemovychi.
