Sviatoslav V. Kobernik (Staryi)

Soldier Sviatoslav Kobernik (call sign Old) was killed on April 27, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Dibrivne in the Kharkiv region. In March, the warrior turned 41 years old. Sviatoslav was born in Zhytomyr. He obtained secondary specialized education at a vocational lyceum. He was married. He lived with his family in the village of Budychany in the Zhytomyr region. He worked hard to provide for his family. In his free time, he loved to go fishing. On the first day of the full-scale war, on February 24, 2022, the man joined the ranks of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a rifleman in the 95th separate airborne assault brigade. "A good and decent family man," said the deceased's nephew, Roman. "The residents of the community express their sincere condolences to the relatives and close ones of the fallen Hero. Sviatoslav Kobernik will forever remain in the heart of each of us as an example of patriotism, indomitable spirit, kindness, self-sacrifice, and boundless love for Ukraine," the Chudniv community website wrote. The warrior was buried in the village of Budychany in the Zhytomyr region. Sviatoslav is survived by his mother, wife, two children, relatives, and friends. Posthumously, soldier Sviatoslav Kobernik was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
