Biography
Biography compiled by Tamaz's wife Inga Chochnidze: "Tamaz Nodarovich Sukhiashvili was born on January 25, 1978, in the city of Khashuri. In 1995, he graduated from high school in the village of Tskhramukha. After school, he was drafted for military service, where he served for 2 years. After his service, Tamaz began his service in the 'Commando' battalion, where he spent 4 years. Tamaz successfully completed all the standards set by the American training and equipment program at the Krtsanisi military base. In 2004, he underwent peacekeeping operation training and served for 6 months in the ranks of ISAF forces. During the Russian aggression in 2008, he went to fight as a volunteer. From November 14, 2008, to November 2014, Tamaz Sukhiashvili worked in the special assignments department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Shida Kartli region. While holding this position, he had a very good reputation and excellent relationships with his colleagues. After submitting his resignation letter, Tamaz left his position with the rank of lieutenant and went to war in Ukraine. In Ukraine, he trained soldiers, served as an instructor, but during the escalation of the situation, he was often with them on the front lines. During one of the operations to evacuate the wounded and dead, he was blown up by a mine while saving the lives of three people. Tamaz was a very brave and selfless person. Literally a few minutes before his death, he called his wife and said that his phone battery was dead, so if he didn't answer, she shouldn't worry. He is survived by his wife and two sons. Tamaz is buried in his native village of Tskhramukha. The children visit their father's grave; they know he is a hero."Military service
