- Born on June 16, 1994, in the village of Chernyatyn, Zhmerinka district, Vinnytsia region. Completed 9 grades of general education at the Chernyatyn village school, then studied at the department of "Operation and Repair of Machines and Equipment for Agricultural Production" at the Chernyatyn College of Vinnytsia National Agrarian University (village of Chernyatyn). Studied in full-time education, and from September 2013, in part-time education at Vinnytsia National Agrarian University (city of Vinnytsia). From September 9, 2013, served under contract in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served as a senior driver of the 4th Airborne Assault Company of the 2nd Airborne Assault Battalion of the 95th Separate Airborne Brigade of the High Mobility Airborne Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1910, city of Zhytomyr). Since the spring of 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. Participant in the liberation of several settlements in Donetsk and Luhansk regions, including the city of Sloviansk (Donetsk region) and the city of Lysychansk (Luhansk region). On July 27, 2014, near the urban-type settlement of Hirne in the Khartsyzk city council of Donetsk region, the armored personnel carrier, driven by soldier Taras Shpihanevych, was hit by militants. While injured, the serviceman did everything possible to protect the other crew members. During the evacuation of unconscious Taras Shpihanevych from the burning vehicle, he was shot twice more by a militant sniper in the leg and shoulder. Initially, the soldier was taken to the Military Medical Clinical Center of the Northern Region (city of Kharkiv), then at night by plane to the Main Military Clinical Hospital of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine (now the National Military Medical Clinical Center "Main Military Clinical Hospital," city of Kyiv). Doctors had to amputate the paratrooper's left leg above the knee. They also tried to save the reattached left arm of the soldier. Taras Shpihanevych lost a lot of blood, and his body did not react well to the transfused blood, leading to complications with his kidneys. On August 4, 2014, the serviceman died in the hospital. On August 6, 2014, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Chernyatyn, Zhmerinka district, Vinnytsia region.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
