Taras I. Len

Taras Ivanovych Leny was born on July 19, 2000 in Ternopil. He is a graduate of Ternopil Secondary School No. 11, Koropets Regional Boarding School with enhanced military and physical training. After graduating from the National Academy of Land Forces named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachny in 2021, he was assigned to the 10th Separate Mountain Assault Brigade. He was in the hot spot near Luhansk. In January 2022, he was on vacation, at the end of which, before the start of the invasion, he was urgently called to the positions. With the beginning of the full-scale invasion, the unit was one of the first to leave for the Kyiv region. In early March 2022, contact with Taras was lost. A few days later, he made himself known by sending his relatives a "smiley". After that, contact with him was lost forever. He died on March 11, 2022 in battles in the Kyiv region. The body of the soldier was found in the Zhytomyr region in September 2022. The fighter was buried in the village of Romanove Selo, Ternopil region.
