- Junior Sergeant Taras Glushko (call sign Tarik) was killed in action on April 28, 2022, near the village of Novohryhorivka, Mykolaiv region. He was mortally wounded during a tank shelling while fighting against the occupiers. The warrior was forever 40 years old. Taras Mykolayovych was born in the village of Lishchynka, Kyiv region. He lived in Obukhiv, where he stu at school No. 3. Then he stu at the National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute" with a specialization in "Medical Instruments and Equipment". Later, he received a second higher education at the Bila Tserkva National Agrarian University. He was engaged in entrepreneurial activities. In his free time, he loved fishing and playing billiards. The man had been defending Ukraine at the front since 2015. He participated in the ATO as part of the 11th battalion "Kyivan Rus" of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade. On February 24, 2022, when the full-scale war began, Taras returned to his brigade and went to the front again. He held the position of commander of the mortar crew. Together with his comrades, he defended Mykolaiv region. For his service, he was repeatedly awarded medals, including "For Excellence in Military Service" III degree, "For Merits before the Armed Forces of Ukraine", "For Exemplary Service", etc. "My husband is a real Hero, very brave and courageous. He went through 2.5 years of ATO and from the first days of the full-scale war, he went voluntarily to defend Ukraine. He always amazed his comrades with his courage...", said Olga Glushko. The hero was buried in Obukhiv. Taras left behind his parents, wife, and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
