Taras M. Hrecheniuk

Taras Mykolayovych Hrecheniuk was born on March 27, 1996, in the village of Korolivka, Kolomyia district, Ivano-Frankivsk region. He studied at the Korynytska Secondary School, where he was actively involved in sports, particularly loving football, and thus received many awards for his football victories. Later, he continued his education at the Kolomyia Industrial-Pedagogical College, majoring in "Automotive Mechanic." In 2014, Taras Hrecheniuk enlisted for mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, holding the position of tank mechanic in the 24th Mechanized Brigade, which was stationed in the city of Yavoriv. From October 2014, he participated in the anti-terrorist operation in the territories of Luhansk and Donetsk regions. After his contract term ended, he decided to remain in the service of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, specifically serving in the border troops of the Luhansk Border Detachment in the city of Zolote, Luhansk region. It was there that he was caught by the full-scale war. On March 9, 2022, while carrying out a combat mission in the area of the village of Zhitlivka in the Sievierodonetsk district of Luhansk region, Taras Hrecheniuk sustained injuries that were incompatible with life.
