- Soldier Taras Dmytrenko (call sign Tara) was killed on May 8, 2023, during the assault on enemy positions in the Bakhmut area in the Donetsk region. The warrior was forever 25 years old. Taras was born in the village of Zabrane, Zhytomyr region. He lived in Kyiv. He graduated from the Kyiv Higher Professional Railway School named after Volodymyr Kudriashov. He worked in a pizza delivery service. He was interested in archeology. He loved fishing and traveling. On February 24, 2022, the man became a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 3rd separate assault brigade. He was an operator of the anti-tank section of the fire support company of the assault battalion. He defended Kyiv, Kherson, Zaporizhzhia, and Donetsk regions. In February 2023, Taras was awarded the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine's distinction - the honorary badge "Steel Cross". "My brother is sensitive, kind, brave, and courageous. From a young age, he was interested in the history of Ukraine and wanted to change the lives of Ukrainians for the better. I have always been and will always be proud that I have such a brother. I have. Tara left earthly life, but received unearthly. TARA now protects us from above," wrote the deceased's sister Rada. The hero was buried in his native village.
