Taras V. Bereshchak (Chornyi)

Serviceman Taras Bereshchak (call sign Chornyi) was killed on July 21, 2023 near the village of Novovodiane in the Luhansk region. While carrying out a combat mission, the soldier suffered a fatal mine-explosive injury. He was 33 years old. Taras was from the Lviv region. He graduated from the Ivan Puluj Lyceum and Lviv Higher Vocational School No. 20. He worked in construction. He loved historical films and books. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man fought for his country in the ranks of the 66th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of senior rifleman. "He was a patriot of the country. Always attentive, kind and cheerful," said the late soldier's sister Natalia. The warrior was buried in the village of Vorotsiv in the Lviv region. Taras is survived by his parents, grandmother, sister, brother-in-law, godson, and nephew.
