Pronchuk Taras V (Liudoid)

Pronchuk Taras Viktorovych (call sign Cannibal) was born on August 6, 1997, in the village of Khotyn, Rivne district, Rivne region. He graduated from Horodetska secondary school, after which he entered the Rivne Technical College of the National University of Water Management and Nature Management, which he graduated from in 2015, obtaining the profession of electric gas welder. He was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine in November 2015. He died on February 16, 2017, from an enemy sniper's bullet while performing a combat mission between the villages of Vodyane and Sakhanka near the city of Mariupol in the Donetsk region. A memorial service for Taras Pronchuk was held at the Holy Annunciation Church in the village, where in his school years, Taras served as a candle bearer-assistant to the priest. His last correspondence with his girlfriend began like this: "Two weeks ago, I was offered to go to Mykolaiv, since I am not yet 20 years old, and I was supposed to be taken out of the sector, but I refused. Six days ago, I ended up in the hospital due to a mild concussion, and I was told again not to return, but I stayed again because I have to protect you. Now you know the truth. Who, if not me, will protect you, my mom, my brothers, and the Ukrainian people?"
