Taras V. Rybachok (Taro)

Reconnaissance officer Taras Rybachok (call sign Taro) was killed on May 28, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Ivanivske in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 27 years old. Taras was born in the city of Sarny, Rivne region. He graduated from the Rivne National University of Water Management and Nature Management. He was a patrol police officer of squad No. 5 serving the city of Sarny, Rivne region police patrol department. Since first grade, he was engaged in Greco-Roman wrestling and won prize places in competitions. In his free time, he loved to solder microchips from small resistors, chips, and capacitors. During the full-scale invasion, in November 2022, Taras became a serviceman of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 80th separate air assault brigade. He was a reconnaissance spotter of a separate reconnaissance company. "My son Taras was a very intelligent, kind, and loving son, responsible, with a heightened sense of justice, a true patriot who loved Ukraine. He treated his relatives with honor, love, and respect. He was a true comrade for his brothers-in-arms," said the mother of the fallen. The defender was buried on the Alley of Glory in his hometown. Taras is survived by his father Volodymyr Ivanovych, mother Nadiia Dmytrivna, brother Sviatoslav, and sister Zlata.
