Tetiana O. Romanova (Romashka)

Romanova Tetyana Oleksandrivna was born in 1984. A medical professional by training, she signed a contract for service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine in 2016. Since August 2021, she had been part of the 503rd Separate Battalion of Marines in the Joint Forces Operation zone. From the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion, Tanya, like most military medics, bravely carried out tasks at the front line. Under heavy shelling, she went into the inferno, providing assistance to soldiers in the trenches and saving their lives. Her comrades-in-arms fondly remember Tetyana: "As long as I remember Tanyushka, she was always smiling... She was a true 'Firefly' in life... But it was her destiny to be just that..." She died on April 19, 2022, during combat operations near the village of Novopil in the Donetsk region. Tetyana's daughter and mother are left without her.
