Tymofii H. Holtser

Senior soldier Tymofii Holzer was killed on March 2, 2023 in the Bakhmut area in Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he received fatal injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. The fighter was 31 years old. Tymofii was born in the village of Karapseli (Russia). From childhood he lived in the city of Selidove, Donetsk region. There he studied at schools No. 3 and 6. In civilian life, he worked in the Selidove military mining and rescue squad. In 2017, the man signed a contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine and went to war. He participated in the ATO / JFO, for which in 2019 he was awarded the President of Ukraine's award "For participation in the anti-terrorist operation", the medal "For the Defense of Avdiivka", and the following year - the award of the commander of the operational command troops "East". During the full-scale war, Tymofii defended Ukraine in the ranks of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Kholodnyi Yar", where he held the position of sniper. At first, together with his comrades-in-arms, he fought in the Kharkiv region, then went to other hot spots. In 2022, the military was awarded the award of the command of the 93rd OMBr of the II degree and the medal "Defender of the Fatherland". And posthumously, Tymofii was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree. "My husband was a very bright person. Above all, he valued his family and did everything for our future. He devoted a very large part of his life to the independence of Ukraine. Serving the Ukrainian people is a conscious choice of my husband. Despite all the circumstances, he always remained cheerful and never lost his zest for life," said Viktoriia Holzer. The defender was buried at the Western Cemetery in Odesa. Tymofii is survived by his parents, brothers, sisters, wife and three children. He did not have time to hold his youngest daughter in his arms.
