- Paratrooper Timur Dolmenko was killed on January 16, 2023 in a battle with Russian occupiers in the area of the village of Novomykhailivka in the Donetsk region. In a month, on February 12, he would have turned 24 years old. Timur was born in the city of Donetsk. When the Russian-Ukrainian war began in 2014, the boy was a schoolchild. That same year, he moved with his family to the city of Kramatorsk. After finishing school, he won a competition and went to study in Italy. After graduating from the university, he returned to Ukraine. Then he worked in the Czech Republic and Poland. Upon returning from abroad, he enrolled remotely in a Harvard University course on the basics of programming, but did not have time to take the final exam. The full-scale war caught Timur in the Kharkiv region, from where he moved to the Chernivtsi region. And in the summer of 2022, he joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Later, as part of the 79th separate air assault brigade, he went to defend his native Donetsk region. "He was extraordinarily intelligent and kind! He always sincerely smiled, because he loved this life. He had many plans and dreams. He always said that the fate of the country is in our hands, that is, the young generation, and he must defend it. He dreamed that when they entered Donetsk, he would be the first to go in and take a photo with the inscription "I'm home"... But, unfortunately, this never happened," said the deceased's friend Aliona. The young warrior was buried in the city of Storozhynets, Chernivtsi region, as his mother wished. Timur left behind his mother and younger brother. Posthumously, soldier Timur Dolmenko was awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
