Vadym A. Huzko

Warrior Vadym Huzko was killed on December 10, 2022 while performing a combat mission near Bakhmut in the Donetsk region. He was 35 years old. Vadym was born in Kyiv. He graduated from Lyceum No. 100 in the capital. Then he enrolled in a college to study "Banking", but did not complete his studies. To help his mother, he went to work and got a job at the company "Ukrayinskyy papir". Since 2003, he lived in the village of Novi Petrivtsi near Kyiv. He was interested in technology, particularly computers. He always helped elderly neighbors: he could chop firewood or work in the garden. He loved animals and adored his husky Bimi. During the full-scale war, the man joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He underwent military training abroad, then in Lviv. He was assigned to the 57th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Kosty Hordiyenko. He was an operator of the portable missile system "Korsar". "He was our angel, a bright child, very kind, he never refused to help anyone. Our pride. He himself wanted to defend our Ukraine and did so until his last breath," said the deceased's aunt. The serviceman was buried in Novi Petrivtsi, Kyiv region. Vadym is survived by his mother, aunt, cousin, and his dog Bimi, who is still waiting for his owner.
