- 23-year-old scout Vadym Nazarov (call sign Maly) was killed in action on March 9, 2022, during the defense of the village of Lukashivka in the Chernihiv region. In an unequal battle, he was captured, where he was tortured, beaten, and humiliated. Later, Russian soldiers took the warrior to a local church and shot him at point-blank range. Vadym was from the city of Terebovlia, Ternopil region. He lived with his parents in the city of Zviahel, Zhytomyr region since childhood, where he graduated from school. Later, he received a bartending education in college. In 2016, the 18-year-old youth signed his first contract with the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was initially a cadet, then took the position of a shooter-regulator in the commandant platoon of unit V2731. In 2017, he was transferred to serve in the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade. The following year, he became a scout in the reconnaissance platoon of the reconnaissance company. He participated in the ATO/OOS in Donetsk and Luhansk regions. During his service, he was repeatedly awarded with certificates and received the medals "Veteran of War" and "ATO Participant." In 2017, Vadym met his future wife. A year later, the lovers got married. In 2020, they had a son. After the end of his contract, the husband spent some time in civilian life with his family. However, already in August 2021, he returned to service, signing a new contract with the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. There, he took the position of a scout and went to the JFO area. On February 24, 2022, Vadym, together with his comrades and border guards, defended the borders of Sumy region from the invaders, and later their unit was sent to the Chernihiv direction. In the morning of March 9, the man wrote his last message to his wife: "I'm fine. I love you, kiss and miss you very much." After that, communication with him was lost forever. Only in April did relatives find Vadym's body and were finally able to say a proper goodbye to him. He was buried on the Alley of Heroes cemetery in the city of Zviahel, Zhytomyr region. "Our Hero was a true patriot and warrior, just, a wonderful husband, and father. He was, is, and will always be a sunny person who loved his family and his life. His comrades respected him," said the warrior's wife, Anastasia. At home, Vadym was awaited by his parents, two sisters, wife, and son. Posthumously, Senior Soldier Vadym Nazarov was awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
