- Soldier Vadym Serhiiko was killed on September 23, 2023, while performing military duties near the village of Fedorivka in the Donetsk region. The defender was 37 years old. Vadym was born in the city of Snovsk, Chernihiv region. In 2003, he graduated from the Shchors District Gymnasium. He then obtained an accountant's degree at the local Vocational School No. 7. In 2009, he graduated from the Yaroslav Mudryi National Law University. He worked as a wrestling coach-instructor at the Shchors Children and Youth Sports School "Kolos" and held various positions in the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine. From 2015 to 2019, he was an assistant to the People's Deputy of Ukraine of the VIII convocation, Anatoliy Yevlakhov. In 2020, the residents of Snovsk region trusted Vadym to represent their interests - he was elected a deputy of the Snovsk City Council from the political party "Native Home". The man was a patriot of his country, an active deputy, and always defended his position and the position of his constituents. Before the full-scale invasion, he was an assistant to a private notary in Snovsk. In April 2022, the man was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. From May 2023, he served as part of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa. He held the position of rifleman. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the eastern direction of the front. The military was buried on the Alley of Heroes of the cemetery in his native Snovsk. At home, the hero was awaited by his relatives, close ones, and many friends. Posthumously, Soldier Vadym Serhiiko was awarded the Order of Courage III degree, which was presented to his daughter. On February 6, 2024, a memorial plaque was unveiled on the building of Snovsk Lyceum No. 3 in honor of the fallen.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
