- 34-year-old soldier Vadym Svyrydenko (call sign Holova) was killed on August 5, 2023, near the village of Staromaiorse in the Donetsk region. During the performance of a combat mission, he sustained fatal injuries as a result of enemy artillery shelling. Vadym was born in the village of Lysycha Balka, Cherkasy region. He studied there at school. In 2020, he got married and moved to the village of Khalepya, Kyiv region. He worked as a tractor driver at the "Renus Logistics" company and as a taxi driver at the "Marseille" taxi service. In his free time, he enjoyed repairing cars and going hunting. During the full-scale Russian invasion, the man volunteered to join the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of a driver of a combat vehicle in the 91st separate anti-tank artillery division. Together with his comrades-in-arms, he defended the Donetsk direction. "Vadym was calm, cheerful, fair, kind and sincere. A wonderful, beloved husband, a loving father of daughters Veronika and Marianna, a good son, a wonderful brother, a good friend and a faithful comrade-in-arms. He rushed to live his whole life. He never refused to help. He dreamed of a happy life in his own house, which he never lived in with his family. The memory of him will live with me forever. I am proud of my Hero," said the wife of the fallen Tetyana. "Golden hands, a pure heart, a cheerful disposition. In peacetime, he would have been a wonderful friend, but he had to become a reliable comrade-in-arms in the military period... There was too much that connected us for me to be able to find any words. Glory to you, Hero," wrote the warrior's comrade-in-arms Mykhailo. Vadym was buried in the Alley of Glory of the cemetery in the village of Tripillia, Kyiv region. The warrior is survived by his parents, brother, sister, wife, two daughters, friends and comrades-in-arms. The youngest daughter was only 2 years old at the time of her father's death.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
