Vadym L. Dysavenko

Vadym Leonidovych Disavenko was born on November 30, 1976, in Kyiv. Since June 21, 2022, Vadym Disavenko, as part of a consolidated unit of the separate checkpoint "Kyiv" of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, was dispatched to the Donetsk region, where he provided direct fire support to the Armed Forces of Ukraine and participated in the evacuation of servicemen of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. On January 4, 2023, at 14:45, the enemy shelled the positions of the observation posts "Khrushch," "Dzherelo," and "Kryha" of the consolidated unit of the separate checkpoint "Kyiv" of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in the area of Hryhorivka, Donetsk region, with artillery. As a result of a direct hit by an enemy artillery shell, Vadym Disavenko sustained injuries incompatible with life. For personal courage and selfless actions demonstrated in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and loyalty to the military oath, Sergeant Vadym Leonidovych Disavenko was awarded the Order of Courage III degree (posthumously).
