Vadym M. Anhel

Vadym Mykolaiovych Anhel was born on November 23, 1991 in the village of Hlybochok, Khmilnytskyi region. He lived his entire life in the city of Khmilnytskyi, where he moved with his family in childhood. He attended kindergarten No. 23. From September 1, 1998, he studied at school No. 14 in Khmilnytskyi. In 2001, he entered the local art school. He was a talented artist. In 2005, he participated in the city competition, where he became the laureate of the Liudmyla Mazur Art Prize. In 2009, he graduated from secondary school. He entered the Vocational School No. 11 in Khmilnytskyi, which he graduated from in 2010. In 2011, he was drafted into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, served in military unit A1451-RU (Kharkiv). After his military service, he worked as an expeditor at the Pryntsyp enterprise. An additional source of income was painting: he took many orders from friends for portrait painting. In 2014-2015, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, participated in the ATO in Donbas. When he returned, he worked as a rigger at TDV Khmilnytskzalizobeton. In 2017-2020, he served under contract in the 8th Separate Special Operations Regiment. In 2019, he got married. After the end of the contract, he moved to live in Poland with his wife. After the start of the full-scale Russian invasion, he returned from abroad, joined the ranks of the 8th Separate Special Operations Regiment and went to the frontline. He died on June 26, 2022 during the performance of a combat mission near the city of Sievierodonetsk, Luhansk region. The fighter came under enemy mortar fire and received fatal injuries. He is survived by his parents, sister Olena, and wife. He was buried in the Alley of Glory in Khmilnytskyi.
