- Scout Vadym Mohyl'da (call sign Mohyla) was killed on March 13, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Kamianka in Kherson region. As part of a rapid response group, he supported fire and maneuver units of the SSO. The group fell into an ambush and engaged in a battle with two mechanized platoons of Russians. The fighter received fatal shrapnel wounds to his chest. Vadym was born in the village of Novoromanivka, Kirovohrad region. He graduated from Kirovohrad Lyceum No. 2 and received the profession of an electrician 3rd grade. He lived in Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He worked in his specialty at the factories. He loved fishing, history of his homeland, and was fond of motorcycles. He participated in the ATO / OOS in 2014-2018. When the full-scale war began, Vadym joined the 129th Separate Territorial Defense Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a scout. "Vadym was brave, sociable, cheerful, friendly, and the first to come to the rescue, a loving father for his little son, a loving son. He tried to be like his father, a participant in the combat operations in Afghanistan. He always said he would be a hero, just like him... He enjoyed authority among friends, comrades-in-arms, fellow villagers. He is a Hero who, by laying down his life, saved his comrades," said his mother, Valentyna Anatoliyivna. "When this damned war began, Vadym immediately went to defend the state! He wanted to liberate all the occupied cities. He loved life but gave it up without hesitation so that we could live in a free and independent Ukraine!" added his sister, Svitlana. "My beloved husband, our beloved! I was told that I would come to you on the 40th day and it would be easier for me, and everything would go its own way. No, that's not true. It's not easier for me, it hurts even more. You spent every free minute with us, took and picked up our daughter from school, you did everything for us. How do I explain to my daughter that you will not return and will not bring her another teddy bear... I am very grateful to you for what we had... You said that you would always be our guardian angel, and I believe in it... I feel it..." wrote his wife, Anna. The defender was buried in his native village in Kirovohrad region. At home, Vadym was awaited by his parents, sister, wife, daughter Stefaniia, other relatives, and friends. Senior Soldier Vadym Mohyl'da was posthumously awarded the Order "For Courage" III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
