Vadym M. Monzolevskyi (Koryk)

35-year-old warrior Vadym Monzolevskyi was killed on March 12, 2023 near the village of Bohdanivka in the Donetsk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he received fatal injuries during enemy artillery shelling. Vadym was born in the city of Korosten, Zhytomyr region. After school, he obtained the profession of a stone product polisher. He was passionate about fishing, cars, and technology. He was involved in sports. He loved dogs. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Vadym joined the ranks of the airborne assault troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a grenadier in the 71st separate Jaeger brigade. "My son was hardworking, honest, fair, and always supported in difficult times. For his younger brothers and sisters, he was a mentor. He had great respect among friends and colleagues, he was a leader in the team," said Larysa Malenivska. "He was a father, brother, and friend to us. He always listens, supports, and helps. Kind, sensitive, brave. He loved his goddaughter Bohdana the most. It's hard to believe he's gone. He will always be in our hearts," added the deceased's sister Olha. The defender was buried in the Alley of Glory cemetery in his hometown. Vadym is survived by his mother, sister, two brothers, and nephews.
