Vadym O. Osadchuk (Khokeist)

Senior soldier Vadym Osadchuk (call sign Hokeyist) was killed on June 21, 2023, after stepping on an enemy mine in the Donetsk region. The warrior was 38 years old. Vadym was born in Odesa. He graduated from school No. 90. He was passionate about hockey and played it professionally. He then worked as a security guard. In 2014-2015, he participated in the ATO in Donbas. During the full-scale war, Vadym fought for the Motherland in the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He was a serviceman of the 67th separate mechanized brigade. He carried out combat missions in various hot spots. "It's very difficult to go through all this. Vadym was a good and interesting person. He has been defending Ukraine since 2014, standing for the truth. He is known throughout Odesa as a good and positive person. We love, remember, mourn... He will forever remain in our hearts... OUR HERO," wrote the deceased's sister Kateryna. The defender was buried at the Western Cemetery in his native Odesa. Vadym is survived by his parents, daughter, relatives, and friends.
