- Born on December 17, 1989, in the village of Mykolaivka, Sumy district, Sumy region. Graduated from the general education school in the village of Mykolaivka, Sumy district. Graduated from the college of Sumy National Agrarian University in the city of Sumy. Served mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Worked as the head of the finished products warehouse at LLC "Agrotechnological Enterprise - Sumy Bacon" in the village of Krovne, Sumy district. In March 2014, mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. Served in the 9th rocket battery of the 3rd rocket artillery division of the 27th rocket artillery regiment of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (since 2015 - the 27th rocket artillery brigade - military unit A1476 - city of Sumy). From the summer of 2014, participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On August 31, 2014, near the city of Shchastia in the Novoaidar district of Luhansk region, the positions of the 27th rocket artillery regiment were shelled. As a result of the shelling, 4 servicemen were killed, including Vadym Stetsenko. Buried on September 3, 2014, in the cemetery of the village of Mykolaivka, Sumy district. On August 31, 2015, a memorial plaque was installed in the village of Mykolaivka, Sumy district, on the facade of the general education school (34 Peremohy Street), where Vadym Stetsenko studied.Book of Remembrance for Ukraine - Ukrainian memorial
