- Sergeant Vadim Bakum (call sign Vados) was killed in action on July 15, 2022, near the village of Mospanove in the Kharkiv region. While performing a combat mission, he received fatal injuries during an enemy artillery shelling. The defender was 37 years old. Vadim was born and lived in the village of Lipkovativka, Kharkiv region. He graduated from Lipkovativsky Agrarian College, where he received the profession of a veterinary medicine paramedic. He served in the border troops. For over 11 years, he worked as the deputy head of the security and fire safety department at the Malyshev plant. He was interested in the history of Ukraine. He was a patriot. He loved to travel and rest with his family and friends. In 2014, he took part in the ATO in Luhansk region. From the first days of the full-scale invasion, the man was again mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He fought as part of the 92nd separate mechanized brigade named after Cossack chieftain Ivan Sirko. He held the position of grenade launcher. He took part in the defense of his native Kharkiv region. "Having stood up to defend the Motherland from the first days of the war, he conscientiously performed the assigned combat tasks. Like in peaceful life, he was modest, not talkative, but responsible, conscientious and always ready to help. Such Vadim will remain in the memory of his classmates from Lipkovativka secondary school and his groupmates from Lipkovativsky Agrarian College. For his parents, he will forever remain a beloved, dear, best son in the world... The hated enemy takes the lives of brave, young, best sons of Ukraine. Vadim for the sake of peace, so let the good, bright memory of his feat forever remain in our hearts. Eternal memory to the Hero!", - noted in Novovodolazka settlement council. Vadim was buried in his native village. He left behind his parents, two daughters from previous marriages, his wife, and his sister with her family.
