- Soldier Vadim Korshevnyuk was killed on May 10, 2022, near the village of Bilohorivka in the Luhansk region. While carrying out a combat mission, he sustained a fatal explosive injury during enemy shelling. A day before this, the warrior turned 47 years old. Vadim was born and lived in Kyiv. He graduated from secondary school No. 175. From 1993 to 1995, he served in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In 2014, he obtained a higher education at the National Pedagogical University named after Mykhailo Dragomanov, specializing as a teacher of labor training, technology, and drawing. He connected his professional life with construction and design work. He installed stretch ceilings for residents of Kyiv, as well as for those in Bucha and Irpin. He was passionate about fishing and hunting. He was incredibly happy to host guests and friends at home with joy and hospitality. In March 2022, Vadim was voluntarily mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the 58th Separate Motorized Infantry Brigade named after Hetman Ivan Vyhovsky. He held the position of a gunner in the 16th battalion. Together with his comrades, he defended the Luhansk region. “A caring husband and father, a respectful son, a loyal friend. Brave and courageous Vadim went as a volunteer to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine to defend Ukraine and us. Russian bullets took his life at the height of his strength. He took up arms and was killed so that we could live and work peacefully, and Ukraine could move closer to victory,” said the wife of the fallen, Tetiana. The hero was buried at the Berkovetske cemetery in Kyiv. At home, Vadim was awaited by his wife and daughter.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
