Vadym S. Kravchenko

Serviceman Vadym Kravchenko died on June 7, 2022 in the village of Murakhivka in the Mykolaiv region. He sustained a shrapnel wound incompatible with life. Vadym was 26 years old. He was born in the village of Prybuzzhia, Mykolaiv region. He studied to be an automotive mechanic at the Yuzhnoukrainsk Vocational Lyceum. In his free time, he loved to play football. On March 11, 2022, Vadym was called up for military service. He joined the 36th Separate Marine Brigade, where he held the position of tank platoon mechanic-driver. In particular, he participated in the defense of Mykolaiv. "My brother was a wonderful person, he always came to help. He loved his little daughter and his whole family very much. He had many plans for life in a free Ukraine," said the sister of the deceased, Anastasia Skotnikova. Vadym was buried in his native village of Prybuzzhia. He is survived by his parents, three sisters, and a daughter. The hero was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
