Vadym S. Moroz

Vadym Serhiyovych Moroz was born on November 9, 1995, in the village of Verbivka, Balakliia district, Kharkiv region. He received his military education at the Kharkiv National Air Force University named after Ivan Kozhedub. In March 2022, he held the position of senior pilot of the aviation unit of the 299th Tactical Aviation Brigade named after Lieutenant General Vasyl Nikiforov. He was killed on March 3, 2022, during a flight over Mykolaiv region. He was buried in the village of Novooleksandrivka in Mykolaiv region, which he defended during his last flight. On March 3, 2023, a monument to the fallen pilot was unveiled in the village. A boy born in the village on the day of Vadym Moroz's death was named in his honor. The pilot was reburied on August 4, 2023, in Kharkiv region.
