Vadym S. Slisarenko (Mazhor)

Soldier Vadym Slisarenko (call sign Major) was killed on December 29, 2022 while carrying out a combat mission in the Bakhmut direction. The defender was 24 years old. Vadym was from the city of Kryvyi Rih, Dnipropetrovsk region. He received secondary education. In civilian life, he worked as a taxi driver and a driver at a bakery. He dedicated his free time to his loved ones and friends. The man took up the defense of his native country from the first days of the full-scale Russian invasion. He fought in the ranks of the 17th separate tank brigade named after Kostiantyn Pestushko. He defended the eastern direction of the front. "Vadym went to war almost in the first days. On March 4, 2022, he was already in combat training. Our son will forever remain in our hearts. He was a very sensitive person. He had many friends. We will always be proud that we have such a son," shared his mother Yevheniia Viktorivna. The defender was buried in the Vizyrka cemetery in his hometown. At home, Vadym was awaited by his parents and brother.
