Vadym V. Denysov (Danchyk)

Serviceman Vadym Denysov (call sign Danchyk) was killed on December 13, 2023 in Toretsk, Donetsk region, as a result of the toxic effect of carbon monoxide. Vadym was 22 years old. He was born in the village of Vernyhorodok, Vinnytsia region. He graduated from the Kozeiatyn Interregional Higher Vocational School of Railway Transport. Since 2020, he worked at Ukrzaliznytsia, was a mechanic for the repair of rolling stock at the Fastiv Wagon Repair Department of the Refrigerator Wagon Company branch. He was passionate about football. On April 6, 2021, the man was drafted into the army. He served in the 101st separate brigade of the General Staff protection named after Colonel-General Hennadiy Vorobyov, holding the position of rifleman. He was also the gunner of the 2nd protection platoon of the 1st platoon of the 7th company of military unit 0939. He received the award of the President of Ukraine "For the Defense of Ukraine". He had the status of a war veteran. "My husband was kind, open, polite and fair. He loved his family and his little son Maksym very much. He dreamed of living in a peaceful country and raising his son, he always came to the aid of his comrades," said Kateryna Denysova. Vadym is survived by his wife, son, mother, sister and brother.
