- Senior soldier Vadym Medvediev (call sign Buryi) died on November 19, 2023 in combat with the occupiers near the village of Robotyne, Zaporizhzhia region. The defender was forever 22 years old. Vadym was born in the village of Horyhlady, Ternopil region. He studied at the local secondary school. Then he entered the Koropets Lyceum with enhanced military and physical training. After graduation, he went to work in Poland. Later he went on conscript military service. He loved to sing, dance, and play various sports. During the full-scale Russian invasion, Vadym voluntarily defended his Homeland from the enemy. He served in the 65th Separate Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During one of his last leaves, he proposed to his beloved and dreamed of starting a family, but did not have time. "He was very cheerful, kind, generous, funny, responsible, brave, sweet, and handsome. He always went to the end. Everyone loved and respected him very much. He was the best of the best," said the fallen warrior's relatives. The young hero was buried in his native village.
