Valentyn I. Kubrak (Kubik)

Soldier Valentin Kubrak (call sign Kubik) was killed on July 9, 2024 while performing a combat mission in the village of Novosadove, Donetsk region. He was forever 38 years old. Valentin was born in the city of Ichnia in the Chernihiv region. He also went to school No. 3 here. He grew up as a sporty boy, loved football, and had many friends. After finishing school, he served in the army, and then worked in the housing and construction cooperative No. 3 in Kyiv. Later, he returned to his hometown and got a job at a sawmill. In 2014, he moved to live in Cherkasy, where he worked as a conductor. He was interested in computer technology. On January 15, 2024, the man received a summons and went to defend Ukraine. He held the position of driver-radio operator of the 67th separate mechanized brigade. He was wounded. "He was very kind and always ready to help," they said in the Ichnyanskaya community. The fighter was buried in the city of Ichnia. Valentin is survived by his mother and other relatives.
