Valentyn M. Kholodniak

Valentyn Mykhailovych Kholodniak was born on May 4, 1979 in Lubny, Poltava region. After graduating from secondary school, he studied at the Voinykh Vocational and Technical School, and then worked at PE "Lubnymash". On the first day of the full-scale Russian aggression, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and was at the front line. He was killed on April 22, 2022 by a shot from an enemy sniper in Volnovakha, Donetsk region. The farewell ceremony for Valentyn Kholodniak took place on April 27, 2022 at Volodymyrskyi Square in Lubny. The deceased was buried the same day in the cemetery in the village of Novaky, Lubny district. For personal courage and selfless actions manifested in the defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the military oath, Valentyn Mykhailovych Kholodniak was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.
