Valentyn M. Yatsenko

Yatsenko Valentyn Mykolayovych was born in 1971 in the village of Batseve, Olefskyi district, Zhytomyr region. He worked as a forester at the Horodnytsia forestry. He was called up for mobilization on the first day of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, February 24, 2022. He served in the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade named after Prince Kostiantyn Ostrozky, holding the position of a driver in a mechanized platoon. He was killed on March 9, 2022, during an artillery shelling of the positions of the 30th Separate Mechanized Brigade at the Svitlodarsk Bulge in Donetsk region. He was buried on March 13, 2022.
