Valentyn V. Kharechko (Estonets)

Soldier Valentin Harechko (call sign Estonyec) was killed in action on June 21, 2022, while performing a combat mission near the village of Dibrivne in Kharkiv region. The defender was 45 years old. Valentin was born in the village of Ohulchi, Kharkiv region. He received the profession of a carpenter at a vocational school. He worked as a locksmith-plumber at the Kharkiv Directorate of Ukrposhta. In his free time, he was engaged in car repairs. He took part in the ATO in 2015-2016. During the full-scale war in March 2022, the man was mobilized into the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served in the reconnaissance platoon of the 93rd separate mechanized brigade "Cold Yar". He fought in his native Kharkiv region. Valentin was a very loving, caring husband and father. He loved life very much and made many plans for the future, his wife Marina said. He honestly lived his life, left behind many good deeds. He was in the zone of the antiterrorist operation and had experience in military affairs. But, unfortunately, ruthless death in this cursed war took away from us a brave warrior, from his wife - a loving husband, from two children - a wonderful father, from fellow villagers - a faithful friend, classmate, neighbor, comrade. Eternal memory to you, Valentin. The warrior was buried in his native village. At home, Valentin's wife and two daughters were waiting for him.
