Valerii A. Tverdokhlib

Born on August 13, 1983, in the village of Vinnytski Khutory, Vinnytsia District, Vinnytsia Oblast. In 1999, he graduated from the general education school of the village of Vinnytski Khutory. He served his mandatory military service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. On July 8, 2015, he was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He served as a machine gunner in the 128th Separate Mountain Infantry Brigade of the Ground Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (military unit A1778 (field post V4673), city of Mukachevo, Zakarpattia Oblast). He participated in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine. On April 29, 2016, soldier Zavala, during a mortar shelling of a Ukrainian military stronghold located between the city of Krasnohorivka in the Marinka District and the village of Pisky in the Yasynuvata District of Donetsk Oblast, sustained multiple shrapnel wounds to the chest from an explosion, resulting in his death at the scene. On May 6, 2016, he was buried in the cemetery of the village of Vinnytski Khutory, Vinnytsia District, Vinnytsia Oblast.
