Valerii B. Lahochev

Senior Sergeant Valeriy Lagochev (call sign Batya, Did) died on November 14, 2023 near the settlement of Nevelske in the Donetsk region. He was killed by enemy artillery fire. The defender was 49 years old. Valeriy was from the village of Yelanets in the Mykolaiv region. He completed 9 grades of the local school. He then obtained the profession of tractor-combine operator at the Yelanets SPTU No. 40. In civilian life, he worked in his profession at agricultural enterprises. After getting married, he moved to the village of Hryhorivka. Before the full-scale invasion, he worked in the international delivery department of Ukrposhta. In April 2022, the man joined the security company of the Voznesensk RTCK and SP. Later, he became a fighter of the 59th separate motorized infantry brigade. In October 2023, he went to the Donetsk region. He held the position of rifleman - grenade launcher assistant. "He was very kind, a wonderful father and husband, always stood up and fought for justice, responsible," his wife Tetiana described the deceased. Valeriy was buried in the village of Hryhorivka in the Mykolaiv region. He left behind a wife, two sons and a daughter.
