- Sergeant Valeriy Kincheruk (call sign Tanchyk) was killed on July 29, 2023, in the area of the village of Orlikivka in the Chernihiv region. While repelling an attack by Russian saboteurs, he sustained fatal injuries. The warrior was 39 years old. Valeriy was born in the village of Maryanivka, Cherkasy region. He studied at the Maryanivka Lyceum. He worked in the Zvenyhorodske forestry for a long time, and then at a factory construction site. In 2014-2015, he participated in the Anti-Terrorist Operation (ATO), where he was a tank crew member, which is how he got his call sign. He loved life, family, and friends. He was passionate about fishing. With the start of the full-scale war, the man, having combat experience, returned to the army and went to the front. He fought as part of the 64th Separate Rifle Battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He held the position of senior rifleman. During his entire service, Valeriy received the following awards: "Participant of the ATO", "Veteran of War", "For the Defense of Cherkasy Region", "For Courage and Heroism". "Tanchyk was a patriot of his country, loved his friends and life, but loved Ukraine the most," said his wife Nataliya. The military man was buried in the city of Shpola, Cherkasy region. At home, his wife and daughter were waiting for Valeriy. The fighter was posthumously awarded the Order of Courage of the III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
