Valerii P. Hlushchenko

Soldier Valerii Hlushchenko was killed on March 12, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Ploshchanka in the Luhansk region. The defender was 46 years old. Valerii was born in the village of Velykyi Khodachkiv, Ternopil region. Later, the family moved to the village of Samhorodok. There he finished 9 grades of school. In 1991, he entered the Nemishaiv state farm-technical school and obtained the qualification of a veterinary paramedic. He worked as a veterinary paramedic at the dairy farm No. 1 of the local collective farm, and at the dairy farm in the village of Rybchyntsi. Later, he got a job as a security guard at the Shamraivskyi Sugar Factory. In 2014-2015, he participated in the ATO in Donbas. During the full-scale war, on December 16, 2022, Valerii was mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine. He became a fighter of the 67th Separate Mechanized Brigade and went to the frontline. "Valerii heroically was killed during a tank shelling by the enemy, defending Ukraine and all Ukrainians at the cost of his own life," said the deceased's loved ones. The military was buried in the city of Skvyra, Kyiv region. In eternal sorrow, his mother Oksana Ivanivna, wife Svitlana, daughter Yana, granddaughter Nadiika, grandson Sviatoslav, sister Svitlana, brothers Anatolii and Mykola, and the entire family remain.
