Biography
Valeriy Petrovych Skrypka was born in Kyiv. After finishing general education school, he studied at the vocational college of geological exploration technologies at Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv. Since the beginning of the Russian-Ukrainian war, he participated in the ATO in Eastern Ukraine as part of the 54th Separate Mechanized Brigade, particularly in the battles at the Svitlodarsk bulge in 2016 and throughout the ATO / JFO area. He held the position of a rifle grenade launcher. With the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, he was mobilized and served on the front lines as part of the 72nd Separate Mechanized Brigade named after the Black Zaporizhians. He participated in the defense of Kyiv region. Grenade launcher Valeriy Skrypka was killed on March 19, 2022, in battles near the village of Moschun in the Bucha district of Kyiv region. The serviceman was buried at Berkovetske Cemetery in his native Kyiv. For personal courage and selfless actions displayed in defense of the state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as loyalty to the military oath, Valeriy Petrovych Skrypka was posthumously awarded the Order of "For Courage" of the III degree.Burial place
