- Soldier Valeriy Andrievskyi (call sign Sheriff) was killed on March 12, 2023, while carrying out a combat mission near the village of Ploshchanka in the Luhansk region as a result of enemy tank shelling. The warrior was forever 22 years old. Valeriy was born in the city of Ternivka, Dnipropetrovsk region. In 2017, he graduated from local Lyceum No. 4. Then he studied at the Donetsk State University of Internal Affairs. He received the rank of lieutenant and held the position of patrol police inspector in the 1st department of the Pavlohrad District Police Department of the Main Directorate of the National Police in the Dnipropetrovsk region. Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russian troops, he has been defending the state as part of the 3rd separate rifle battalion of the 67th separate mechanized brigade. He took part in battles for the Zaporizhzhia and Luhansk regions. "He always came to help, saved the lives of others, putting his own at risk. Valeriy was a kind and always smiling person," said the mother of the fallen Oksana. "My brother was a cheerful person. When he was little, he dreamed of becoming president to help his country. But the dreams of an adult man became different. At the age of 21, despite the fact that he was not a conscript, as he was guarding law and order and combating crime, he aimed to help his country even more. In March 2022, he joined the ranks of the Ukrainian Volunteer Corps "Right Sector", calling on acquaintances to join the defense of their rights to freedom and independence in all possible ways," added the warrior's sister Tetiana Sumarokova. "He was a true patriot of his country. In 2018, he joined the public association "National Guard". Since the beginning of the full-scale invasion, without hesitation, he defended his country. He aimed to change the corrupt society, always went against the system and broke stereotypes. He was a very kind person, never left his comrades in trouble and fought to the last. A true fighter for justice. His smile always charged those around him with positivity," said Valeriy's girlfriend. The hero was buried in the Alley of Glory of the Ternivka cemetery. Valeriy is survived by his mother, son, relatives, loved ones and friends. Posthumously, soldier Valeriy Andrievskyi was awarded the Order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi, III degree.Memory Platform 'Memorial'
